About Kristoffer Tripplaar Photography Archive

I've lived a rather sordid life. At one point I ran a small, but fruitful, PEZ empire and not long after that I found myself standing behind the parts counter of a Harley-Davidson dealership slinging oil filters and flywheels. Eventually I found my way out from behind the counter and into the White House Photo Office as an intern assisting the Presidential photographers and hanging pictures in the West Wing. Now I work on the other side of the velvet rope and cover the White House and the President from the perspective of the press.

I'm a Washington, D.C. native and a graduate of the Corcoran College of Art & Design. In the world of Photojournalism I'm represented by Sipa Press and my photographs have been published in the likes of The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, Vogue, Newsweek, Time Magazine, Fortune Magazine, Rolling Stone and People Magazine. I cover a ride range of subjects from The White House and Capitol Hill to offbeat Americana. You can see that side of my work on my website: www.tripplaar.com.

I also work as a corporate photographer and my clients include The World Bank Group, Ogilvy Public Relations Worldwide and The Federation of American Hospitals.
